Iridium is a very precious metal and particularly resistant to the erosive action of sparks. Thanks to this characteristic, the NGK Iridium spark plugs guarantee a duration almost double compared to the standard spark plugs with nickel electrode.

The wear-resistant properties of Iridium make it possible to create a very small electrode with a diameter of only 0.6 mm. This involves a not evo the reduction of the required voltage for the spark and promotes not evo lmente the front propagation in the combustion chamber flame.
