Iridium is a very precious metal and particularly resistant to the erosive action of sparks. Thanks to this feature, NGK Iridium spark plugs guarantee an almost double life compared to standard spark plugs with nickel electrode.

The anti-wear properties of Iridium allow you to create an electrode with very small dimensions, with a diameter of only 0.6 mm. This entails a considerable reduction of the voltage required for the spark to strike and significantly favors the propagation of the flame front in the combustion chamber.
